It takes only 40 minutes to get to Almonte from the city. Not to be missed is the street where Mill Street is full of elegant shops and the beautiful Mississippi Mills around Metcalfe Geoheritage Park.
Almonte is a scenic mill town. When you walk into Almonte be sure to take a look at the Gothic architecture that was left behind by history, the town’s first post office, and the famous Almonte Falls.
You can experience their best chocolate (Hummingbird Chocolate) and milk vodka. The Almont ice cream shop is offering hard ice cream & soft serve to open seasonally.
– Smiths Falls, Ontario –
Smiths Falls is a beautiful town in Eastern Ontario. According to smithsfalls.ca, arts and culture is at the center life in Smiths Falls.
The Rideau Canal, which runs through the community at its mid-point between Ottawa and Kingston, was designated in 2007 by UNESCO as Ontario’s only World Heritage Site. The Station Theatre is a tourist attraction in the cultural community of Smiths Falls. You can enjoy Christmas pantomime and international Film Nights in this unique place.

– Frontenac County, Ontario –
We have to introduce the secret travel of Frontenac County, Ontario. Just over the Ottawa River for more than two hours, just above Kingston, there is a beautiful county. A favorite place is the Cabin (holiday cabin), which is surrounded by windows. The scenery is different in spring, summer, autumn, and winter. It is very romantic and suitable for couples.
More romantic, there is Heart Lake in the small town of Ompah (located in the township of North Frontenac). The village is situated close to many lakes including Palmerston Lake, Canonto Lake, Sunday Lake, and Mosque Lake. There is a naturally formed heart-shaped lake that is the attraction of every Ottawa aerial photographer. Such a beautiful and romantic lake, I am sure that a couple standing by the lake will make a wish.

Located at the entrance of Gatineau Park, the village is also home to the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre and services as a gateway to the park’s 361 square kilometres of hills, lakes, trails, beaches, and campgrounds.
