For Northern Alliance Realty founders Tarek El Attar and Steve Alexopoulos, EVOLV3 was never intended to be just another real estate conference.

Created to elevate professional standards, encourage collaboration, and support personal growth, the annual event has quickly become one of Ottawa’s most anticipated gatherings for real estate professionals. Held at the Brookstreet Hotel in Kanata, this year’s third annual EVOLV3 conference on March 26th welcomed hundreds of attendees from across Ontario and Quebec for a day of learning, networking, and development.

Hundreds of real estate professionals gathered at the Brookstreet Hotel in Kanata for the third annual EVOLV3 conference. The one-day event featured a diverse lineup of speakers, including Tony Greco and other industry leaders, while Northern Alliance also presented a charitable donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa as part of its ongoing commitment to giving back to the community.

The conference reflects the philosophy that has helped shape Northern Alliance itself. Founded on mentorship, continuous improvement, and an abundance mindset, the Ottawa-based real estate collective has long emphasized growth beyond sales and transactions. EVOLV3 was designed as an extension of that vision.

“We wanted to put together an event that helps people holistically, not just professionally, and do it for charity at the same time,” say El Attar and Alexopoulos. “EVOLV3 is about evolving in all areas.”

That holistic approach has been central to the conference since its inception. While real estate remains the common thread connecting attendees, the programming extends far beyond industry-specific topics. This year’s agenda explored mindset, health and wellness, economics, culture-driven growth, business structure, and team development, all with the goal of helping professionals become stronger leaders both personally and professionally.

According to the founders, the event was created to fill a gap they saw within the industry. They wanted to provide meaningful value in a profession that can often feel competitive and fragmented, while helping raise the overall reputation and professionalism of real estate.

The format itself is intentional. Rather than a multi-day conference, EVOLV3 delivers its content through a concentrated one-day experience. The goal is to provide attendees with actionable insights they can immediately apply to their businesses, relationships, and personal lives.

“People are busy,” they explain. “If we can load them up with one value-added day and have them walk away with new ideas on how to improve different aspects of their lives, then we’ve made a lasting impact.”

As the conference has grown, so has its reach. What began as a local initiative now attracts attendees from throughout the East Coast region and features a mix of Ottawa-based experts alongside speakers from across North America and beyond. Organizers say the expanding speaker roster is a reflection of the credibility EVOLV3 has built over its first three years and the growing demand for the event’s unique approach.

Among this year’s highlights was a presentation from the head economist at Equifax examining how global affairs and economic shifts continue to influence Canada’s housing market and broader economy. Also featured was a former US Navy SEAL who focused on the importance of teams. Other sessions focused on resilience, leadership, performance, and building effective teams, topics that resonate well beyond the real estate industry.

For El Attar and Alexopoulos, however, the ultimate measure of success isn’t attendance numbers or speaker lineups. It’s the feedback from attendees who leave with practical tools they can implement immediately, as well as the conference’s ability to support charitable initiatives throughout the community.

Now three years in, EVOLV3 continues to gain momentum, but its mission remains unchanged: helping people become better professionals, better leaders, and better versions of themselves. In an industry built on relationships and trust, Northern Alliance believes that kind of growth starts from within.
