From The Director Of The Witch, A Creepy Psychological Thriller Reminiscent of Black and White Horror – The Lighthouse

Willam Dafoe and Robert Pattinson star in – what critics call – this instant classic directed by Robert Eggers which premiered at Cannes Film Festival this year.

Set to be released October 18th by A24, this black and white horror movie follows the psychological descent of two men working in isolation in a sea-side lighthouse. The story guides us through the horrible manifestations of their suspicions of each other, their worst fears and their slow release on the grasp of time as they try to keep track of how long they’ve been alone in the lighthouse.

The movie was filmed in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

The movie has been especially favoured for its aesthetic which models that of a vintage black and white horror movie, making the movie especially chilling, eerie, and perfect for an October movie night.
