Sens Add 3 More To Covid Protocol, Thursday’s Game Postponed

The Ottawa Senators have played just 1 game since December 18th; it was a 6-0 blowout loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Last night’s game against the Minnesota Wild was postponed last week, and now their next game in Seattle on Thursday has also been postponed.

Much like the rest of the NHL, the Sens have had to place multiple players in the NHL’s Covid-19 protocol, including 3 more players and a coach yesterday.

The Sens didn’t practice today but will return to the ice tomorrow, hoping not to lose any more players. There are 9 players in protocol, leaving them very thin in terms of icing a roster. As of today, their game in Vancouver on Saturday night is still scheduled to be played, and it will be just their 2nd game in 21 days.

Ottawa’s next 4 games are on the road against Canadian opponents (Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary & Winnipeg). Hopefully, everyone gets healthy, and the team can get back to a regular schedule.
