Hit or Miss? The Senators Unveil Their New Reverse Retro Jerseys

The new look 2022-23 Ottawa Senators will literally be sporting a new look this season.

Adidas unveiled the Senators’ Reverse Retro jersey on Thursday, billed as a “jersey collection that remixes the past while creating the future.”

Whether you’re a fan of this look (or the obvious salesmanship behind any third jersey), it is a nice tribute to the past. The crests on the shoulder and the striping on the front are reminiscent of the red uniforms they wore through most of their best days from 1997-2007. The jersey includes the old school NHL shield on the collar.

According to Adidas, which parts company with the NHL after next season, the Sens are scheduled to wear the jersey a minimum of two times this season and a maximum of eight. The price tag runs between $210 and $260 and the dance-worthy new sweater will be available to Sens fans November 15th, just in time for Christmas.

And just for fun, here’s what Adidas came up with for Montreal and Toronto.
