How To Celebrate The Holidays With Your Office Remotely

No Christmas party? No problem. Here are a few ways to get together remotely and carry on the holiday traditions. (Spoiler alert, all three of these suggestions will include the word ‘virtual’.)

Virtual Lunch

One way to get everyone is through a staff lunch, remote-style. Instead of coordinating delivery for all, extend a meal credit for each employee to expense. They can then use that credit to order delivery in time for a virtual get together. Everyone gets what they like and each expenses only up to the amount outlined.

Virtual Game

Organize a virtual game show. Organize your crew into three or four teams, and designate a game show host. Pick-up a trivia-related game like Jeopardy and teams can communicate by text or in chat rooms to discuss their answers. You’ll have to relax timing a bit, but virtual trivia is a super fun and totally feasible way to bring everyone together for an hour of entertainment and friendly competition.

Ugly Sweater Contest

A great addition to a team lunch or the last meeting of the season, raise the stakes and announce a prize for the ugliest holiday sweater to be adorned on the next call. Have everyone come into the room with their cameras off, and one by one unveil your sweater for the group to see.
