Last Chance for Almonte’s Inaugural Highland Haunt & Harvest

Autumn in Almonte is reaching its peak, and residents and visitors have one final weekend to experience the town’s first annual Highland Haunt & Harvest festival. The month-long celebration, which runs until November 1, 2025, has transformed the small town into a vibrant hub of fall colors, festive activities, and seasonal fun.

The festival showcases Almonte’s tree-lined streets and scenic riverwalks, highlighting the town’s stunning fall foliage while offering a mix of family friendly and mystical experiences. Local businesses and shops have embraced the season, hosting a variety of events including Pumpkin Decorating at Equator Coffee, Spooky Storytime for Toddlers at Mill Street Books, and Crystal Healing & Astrology Readings at The Old Mill Manor. The full list of events can be found here.

With the first snowfall still weeks away, the Highland Haunt & Harvest provides a last opportunity to enjoy the crisp autumn air, colorful foliage, and seasonal festivities. Locals are calling it the “Salem of the North”, a description that seems to be quite fitting.

Whether strolling along the river, visiting shops, or taking part in hands-on workshops, visitors can make the most of the season before it disappears.
