Ottawa’s Beaches Set To Re-Open Earlier

The city has moved up their expected date of re-opening for Ottawa’s beaches to June 27th.

Opening the beaches will mean that lifeguards will be on duty during regular hours, and water quality will be tested and reported on.

This announcement means that Mooney’s Bay, Westboro Beach and Petrie Island will be in full swing (with precautions) by the end of the month. Britannia Beach will remain closed for constructions for the remainder of the summer. More info and updates on Ottawa’s municipal beaches can be found at: ottawa.ca/beaches.
