Ottawa Folk Duo Celebrate New Single With One-Take, COVID-Friendly Music Video

Female folk duo Jessica Pearson and The East Wind have continued to make music throughout a summer of COVID, and continue to find creative ways of sharing it.

The Ottawa-based pair create and perform a mix of folk, country, and celtic music. Jessica sings and plays guitar, and Maddy accompanies her with vocals and fiddle. The duo started in 2017 and have now played over 80 shows across Canada, Ireland and the United Kingdom. They are currently working on their first full length album to be released in 2020.

With the recent release of their single “Ready My Heart”, the duo filmed an accompanying music video with the help of friends and family that works as a creative and adaptive lyric video to the many unforeseen circumstances of 2020.
