From November 30th to January 7th, an illuminated pathway along downtown’s Confederation Boulevard will be lit from 5:30 pm to 1 am every night: a perfect way to enjoy the magic of the holiday season in the Capital.
The Pathway of Lights is part of Canadian Heritage’s annual celebration Christmas Lights Across Canada. These thousands of lights will illuminate a pathway through Confederation Boulevard’s historic route, circling the National War Memorial, the Garden of Provinces & Territories, and the view from Alexandria Bridge. An artistic light installation, Entre les rangs, makes its appearance on Parliament Hill this year and is a new addition to the pathway of lights! This sensory stroll through an urban field contributes to the festive holiday season look in Canada’s Capital Region. While no large crowds will gather at Parliament this year, get ready to be dazzled by IllumiNATION, a celebration of lights across Canada. This virtual show will take viewers across the country to see talented Canadians share their light for the holidays. IllumiNATION will be premiered Thursday, December 17 at 8 pm (ET) and will run through January 7th.
