Here’s Why March is One of the Worst Months For Productivity

The month of March (a month that has no technical statutory holidays) is one of the worst for being productive. In the US alone, reports estimate that businesses lose about 1.9 Billion dollars in the slump of productivity that is seen.

The culprit? March Madness betting. In 2020 alone (amid pandemic shut downs), over 47.4 million North American adults wagered on the tournament.

So while workers are busy betting on March Madness, companies see a noticeable slump in output, making March one of the worst months for productivity.
