Giovanni’s Ristorante Gives Back for February’s Heart Month

When Giovanni’s owner and founder Lisa Pollastrini was diagnosed with heart disease in a year, the Ottawa Heart Institute (OHS) became a familiar place for her and son, Nino Sr.

“My grandmother has received incredible care from the Institute over the years, and it’s very close to our hearts.” Says Lisa Junior, who now manages Giovanni’s as the third generation within the family business.

Because of the dedicated care and support they, and so many others in the Ottawa community have received from OHS, Giovanni’s is a proud supporter of the Institute’s #GiveWithHeart Campaign.

As official donor match sponsors, they are encouraging everyone to donate during the month of February, to have their donation doubled by one of many sponsors.

As heart month continues, you’ll also see businesses around Ottawa ‘light up’ in red to show their support in the fight against heart disease.
