When it comes to Christmas, North Americans are the worlds biggest spenders. Overall, consumers are expected to spend more than $1 trillion this year with over $150 billion going to online retailers.
North Americans usually expect to spend around $1,000 dollars each December, but end up spending an average of $1,850 according to a Gallup Poll survey.
