Here’s When Fall Colours Will Peak In Ottawa

Summer is fading into the darker, cooler and crisper autumn days, and leaves are about to begin to be set ablaze with fall colours.

The Algonquin Fall Colour Report is a great resource to understand when different trees will turn in Ontario, and here’s what this season’s colour cadence is set to be.

Late September

Maple trees are the first to turn, and are expected to begin turning vibrant shades of yellow and red from late September to Early October.

Early October

Aspens (also known as populars) will make their grand appearance with fiery orange in early to mid October.

Mid October

Tamaracks and their hues of yellow and orange will be the last to turn in mid to late October.
