Morrison’s Quarry Is Officially Open For The Summer

Morrison’s Quarry is one of the most unique and beautiful summer swim spots in all of Canada, and it’s officially open for the 2023 season. The picturesque destination in Chelsea, QC, is just under 30 minutes from Ottawa into Gatineau, and makes for the perfect day trip. While swimmers and visitors don’t need a reservation, those who want to partake in diving, bungee jumping or zip-lining do.

 

 

Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 11. Children under 2 are free. The park allows barbecues and picnics, but no dogs or smoking.

 

 

Created in 1941, the quarry, which was originally used for mining brucite, was bought by the Morrison family in 1970. It was now a 140-foot deep scuba diving training park, with many objects (including a plane and boat) to explore.
