Dedmon also became the fastest player in CFL history to record 5 career return touchdowns, doing so in just 15 games. Dedmon has been the most electric Redblacks player this season, adding 163 yards of total offense (receiving/rushing) and a score to go with his contributions on special teams.

DeVonte was also a unanimous nominee for the John Agro Special Teams Award, as the league’s most outstanding special team’s player.

Linebacker Avery Williams was nominated for the CFL’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award. Williams is 3rd in the CFL with 83 tackles, and adds an interception, sack, forced fumble, and fumble recovery to his stat line this season.

Kicker Lewis Ward is the nominee for Most Outstanding Canadian after he converted 29 of his 35 field goals this year.

Offensive Lineman Mark Korte is the unanimous nominee for Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman. Korte has played 12 games for the Redblacks this season, suiting up mainly at the center position. He has played every position on the line through his first 3 seasons with Ottawa.

Receiver Ryan Davis was nominated as the CFL’s Most Outstanding Rookie. Davis has recorded 567 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns on 52 receptions. The first-year receiver also adds 43 rushing yards and a combined 481 return yards, to his rookie resume.

All the Ottawa Redblacks nominees will compete for East Division honors later this month and the CFL awards will be announced during Grey Cup week, in December.
