The light show tells stories from across Canada complete with audio/visual. It’s one of the coolest outdoor experiences in Ottawa, and it’s completely free. The shows begin at 9:30pm in August and 9:00pm in September, so you can easily grab a bite before and head down to Parliament after.

Take your date on a nice stroll down the Byward Market and stop at the arguably most popular ice cream shop in Ottawa! This shop will have your mouth watering with it’s unique savouring flavours, not only does it taste amazing but each ice cream itself is created to be a masterpiece of its own. Yes, drive-in movies do still exist and they just happen to make for the perfect first date. Port Elmsley drive-in is less than an hour away from Ottawa!
