The Sound and Light Show On Parliament Hill is back for the summer


Northern Lights on Parliament Hill is an annual multi-media show put on free to the public every night at sundown at Parliament Hill from July through to September. Sponsored by Manulife, the sound and light show is an Ottawa tradition that attracts guests from all over Ontario.


The actual light show combines audio and visual effects projected onto the entire Centre Block and Peace Tower that makes Canada’s history come to life. Sitting on the lawn of Parliament Hill, seventeen different projectors work together to create a truly unique way to experience Canada’s history.

The show runs every night (weather permitting) starting July 9th through to September 3rd. Showtimes are 10 pm in July, 9:30 in August and 9:00 in September.



For the best experience arrive a bit early and bring a blanket!
