Your Guide To Ottawa In November: Here’s How To Make The Most Of This Month

November can sometimes feel like a filler month.

With Thanksgiving passed, and Christmas still pretty far ahead, it can feel like there’s not much to look forward to. We’re here to help you realize November isn’t so bad after all. There is always so much to see and do in Ottawa, and this month is no exception. We’ve put together a list of a few you won’t want to miss. From sports to festivals, concerts and parades, you can find it all in the capital this November.

Remembrance Day Ceremony

We put the Remembrance Day ceremony first on our list because it is so important. Our nation’s capital puts on an incredible Remembrance Day ceremony. Head over to parliament on November 11th and honour those who sacrificed everything for us.

Sports In Ottawa This Month

Ottawa Senators

This month will be an important one for the Ottawa Senators, as they look to break their 5-game losing streak this week and get back on track. Tickets start as low as $25 and they have 5 more home games in November. Check out the graphic below to see the dates and details:

Ottawa 67’s Games

We think a great thing to do on a weekend is head over to Lansdowne, grab some dinner and catch a 67’s game. They play at home this month on The 11th, 12th, 15th and 27th.

FIFA World Cup

Canada has qualified for the FIFA world cup for the first time since 1986. Their first game is November 23rd against Belgium. Then November 27th against Croatia. You can catch the game at home or at a local bar.

Music and Film

Concerts

There is nothing like a good concert in the capital. We have some great artists coming to Ottawa in November. From country to rock, jazz and pop, whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it this month.

Pretty Woman Musical

If musicals are your thing then you have to check out this show. The performers are supposed to be incredible and the show has excellent reviews. The show starts on November 15th at the National Arts Centre. You can purchase tickets online for any of the shows.

Movies

Over the past few years, people haven’t been able to go see many movies in theatres.

Well, Hollywood is changing that for us by releasing some blockbuster movies this month. Here are some of the films we’re looking forward to seeing.

Crave Food and Wine Festival

Calling all Ottawa foodies. This festival will settle the Capital’s cravings for good drinks, food and fun. Crave will bring together culinary art and local cuisine for a tasteful week of activities leading up to a food and wine show at the Shaw Centre.
