With Christmas only 40 days away, the cold isn’t the only thing in town that can put you in the holiday mood. Here are four events happening this week to inspire some Christmas cheer.
Help Santa Toy Parade – November 17th
This is Ottawa’s annual Christmas Parade that takes place downtown every year. You can bring your family and friends to come down and see all the floats and entertainment this year’s parade has to offer. The Ottawa Firefighters will also be there collecting toys for Toy Mountain if you wish to donate. Make sure you grab some hot chocolate on the way to keep you warm during the parade.
Magic of Lights – Begins November 16th
We’re sure you’ve heard of this magical display of lights located over at Wesley Clover Parks. This is a 2km drive of more than 300 beautiful lights. This event will begin on November 16th and carry on until January 5th, beginning at 5pm. The best part about this? You get to stay warm in the comfort of your car.
Tudor Hall Christmas Craft and Gift Show – November 18th
Why not get a head start on your Christmas shopping this year? Head over to Tudor Hall to view over 100 vendors. This show will feature small businesses, artists, craftspeople and much more! This free entry event will also give you the opportunity to win some door prizes as well.
Breakfast with Santa in Barrhaven – November 18th
This is a perfect event to take the family to! This event will be taking place the morning of the Barrhaven Santa Claus parade. You can bring your kids over to Mother Teresa High School to indulge in some pancakes and crafts. You’re also welcome to bring any food donations you may have as they will be collecting for Barrhaven Food Cupboard.
