The Sens Are Back In Session

 

The Ottawa Senators are back in action tonight, kicking off a 4 game road trip against the Colorado Avalanche. The team was off the ice all of last week due to a COVID-19 outbreak. Ottawa made it through the week without any positive tests and returned to practice on Saturday. 8 players have been removed from the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol.

Defenseman Nikita Zaitsev remains in the league’s protocol but is expected to join the Sens this week. Drake Batherson, will not join the team on this 4 game road trip and also remains in the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol. Here are the expected lines for the Senators tonight.

The Avalanche have won 4 in a row heading into tonight’s game. It’s expected that Darcy Kuemper will start in goal for Colorado and Nathan MacKinnon will not be in the line-up for the Avs. It’s an 8:30 puck drop between the Ottawa Senators and Colorado Avalanche, live from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
