Winter Brewfest Is Back

Back for its 5th year, Winter Brewfest is here to keep you warm this winter. With over 100 craft beers and delicious gourmet dishes, you’ll hardly remember you’re in the middle of an Ottawa winter.  Here’s the run down on this weekend’s festivities at Aberdeen Pavilion in Lansdowne Park:

Beer (Obviously)

There will be over 35 breweries on site pouring their craft specialties all weekend long. The event is split into three sessions, Friday night from 6pm-1am, Saturday afternoon from 2pm-5pm and Saturday night from 7pm-1am. There are options for a small tasting package, or ones that include lots of tokens to sample new brews and all your old favourites too. Tickets are still available; the presale prices end on February 14th, with remaining tickets available at the door.

Not a fan of beer or want a gluten-free alternative? There will also be local distilleries serving spirits & ciders for every taste bud.

Food

Brewfest is also hosting many food vendors that are serving gourmet bites to pair with your beverages. Guests can enjoy warm, comfort food prepared by local chefs. Think: poutine, ribs, pulled pork, home-made chips, chicken tacos, giant pretzels, and popcorn. And of course, maple taffy over snow in true Winterlude fashion.

Music & Entertainment

The event will have an outdoor lounge and fire pit so you can get cozy with a hot drink. Local DJs will be spinning tunes to have you dancing around the bonfire, and DJ Geoff Grace, also know as Greeze  is taking the main stage both nights.

Yoga

Yoga? Saturday morning from 10am-11:30am, you can take part in a 45-minute yoga session. This is the perfect way to kick those winter blues. Following the class, you’ll be treated to four beer tastings with your fellow yogis. All skill levels are welcome and no experience is required, you just need to bring your own mat. Tickets are still available for $15.
