Elevating Business in Old Ottawa South: The Collective on Bank Launches

The renaming of 1181-1189 Bank Street as The Collective on Bank marks a new chapter for one of Old Ottawa South’s landmark properties. Campanale, long recognized for its contributions to residential and commercial spaces across Ottawa, is bringing a fresh vision to this two-storey commercial building, aiming to create a new hub for innovation and community growth in one of Ottawa’s oldest business communities.

The rebranding reflects a deliberate effort to highlight the diversity and vibrancy of businesses housed within, says Santana Campanale, Director of Sales, Marketing & Commercial Leasing with Campanale. “Bringing The Collective on Bank to Old Ottawa South has been an exciting journey. The decision to offer newly renovated work suites stemmed directly from feedback within the business community seeking flexible, affordable spaces without the constraints of traditional leases,” she shares. “These suites are designed to provide a dynamic environment where businesses can truly thrive.”

Situated along one of Ottawa’s busiest corridors, The Collective on Bank offers spaces tailored to the needs of modern enterprises. The building’s offerings range from retail to executive suites and recently renovated workspaces designed to foster productivity and collaboration. The ground floor is fully leased to established retail and medical tenants, while the second floor features a larger Executive Suite (currently home to the Campanale head office) and 14 newly renovated work suites, which are already 90% leased.

The 14 renovated work suites on the second floor have quickly become a focal point of interest, offering flexible lease terms and competitive rates. The spaces cater to a variety of professionals, from legal and accounting firms to wellness practitioners. Amenities include a shared coffee bar and client waiting area, with spaces ranging between 100 and 180 square feet. Each unit includes access to ample outdoor and covered parking spaces. This approach underscores Campanale’s ongoing efforts to meet market demands with adaptable and competitively priced offerings.

“We’ve been loving the new space for our design office,” shares Melanie Neault, Principal Interior Designer. “It’s in the perfect location that allows us to feel connected to the Old Ottawa South Community.”

Built in 1985, the all-brick structure offers prime visibility on Bank Street and is minutes away from Highway 417. Features such as ample parking, including covered spots, and prominent signage ensure accessibility and exposure, further enhancing its appeal.

The rebranding aligns with Campanale’s reputation for listening and responding to market needs. The introduction of The Collective on Bank underscores the company’s commitment to community-driven innovation and long-term support for Ottawa’s business landscape. With retail spaces and the executive suite already fully leased, the newly introduced work suites are leasing rapidly.
