Two Live Music Events Will Happen In Ottawa In September

OTTAWA, (Canada) August 25, 2021 – RBC Bluesfest and CityFolk organizers today announced two major live music events that will take place during two weekends in September: RBC PRESENTS OTTAWA FALL FESTIVALS – RBC Bluesfest & CityFolk.

Both events will feature star-studded lineups of live acts and will be produced by RBC Bluesfest and CityFolk executive and artistic director Mark Monahan and his team, tapping into the best of both festivals.

The festivities will take place on The Great Lawn at Lansdowne Park, September 16, 17, 18 and September 23, 24, 25, offering what promises to be a historic comeback for live music in Ottawa.

After a one-year-plus hiatus, due to the pandemic, festival organizers and fans from Ottawa and beyond have been looking forward to live music events like these for far too long.

“We know it’s been difficult to be cooped up for more than a year, but finally we’ll be able to roll out two fantastic lineups of live acts that will reward the collective patience of so many music fans,” says executive director, Mark Monahan, “We’re grateful for the ongoing support we’ve seen in recent years and we hope that these events will launch a new beginning for the live music industry in Ottawa—we’re certainly due.”

“RBC has long been a supporter of live music and emerging artists through programs like First Up with RBCxMusic,” says Marjolaine Hudon, Regional President, P&CB Regional Banking for Ontario North and East. “Our support of the Fall Festivals presented by RBC Bluesfest and CityFolk is how we can help bring live music back to the Capital Region in a safe way and support local business owners in the area too.”
