Black Lives Matter Peaceful March Scheduled For Friday June 5th in Ottawa

With the sweeping social support for the Black Lives Matter movement across Canada, a peaceful demonstration of solidarity against police brutality will be happening on Friday, June 5th outside of the US Embassy.

The march, organized by Sameha of No Peace Until Justice, is a peaceful demonstration that will start at the embassy at 3:00 pm. Protesters will march to Parliament Hill. So far, over 5,600 people are following the account and many other accounts in Ottawa have invited their followings to the march.

Social distancing measures will be respected and people are asked to wear masks, and not attended if they feel unwell. More information on the march and the No Peace Until Justice Coalition can be found on their social media page.

The march is also calling for volunteers to help with media, signs and the event, and a complete list of roles and a sign up form can be found here.
