October’s full moon will be appear full for about three days this weekend (Saturday – Tuesday) with it’s fullest point on Sunday October 13th.
Sunday is the only night in October that the moon will be visible in the sky the entire night, rising from the horizon at sunset. This will make it appear bigger and more orange, according to Farmer’s Almanac.
Other names for the Hunter’s Moon are Travel Moon, Dying Grass Moon, Blood Moon or Sanguine Moon.
