Guess Where Ottawa Ranked Among The Most Innovative Cities in the World

Canada’s Capital has scored highly in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation, according to a study by Paymentsense. The study aimed to establish a global index for business innovation, scoring all major cities according to their relative density of small businesses & startups, universities, crowd funding and other entrepreneurial activity, including google searches and social media trends. 

 

Ottawa’s innovation score was a 61 out of 100, beating out larger cities like London and Singapore, and it landed as the 14th most innovative city in the world. Paris, Washington, and Cranberra took the top 3 spots on the list, and no other Canadian city was listed in the Top 20.
